Ha impartido consultorías en riesgos cuantitativos en muchos proyectos de energía, minería, transporte, construcción, finanzas, banca y seguros. Ha desarrollado su propio simulador de Monte Carlo (iziRisk Quantum sobre Excel). Posee una licenciatura de negocios de la Universidad de Costa Rica y un MBA de Indiana University.
